Terms of Use

Last updated: July 30, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of homeschoolwaypoint.com and the accounts, directory listings, events, forms, payment features, and other services provided through the website collectively referred to as the “Site.”

The Site is owned and operated by Homeschool Waypoint LLC (“Homeschool Waypoint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Florida limited liability company.

By visiting or using the Site, creating an account, submitting or claiming a listing, saving a favorite, purchasing a paid listing plan, or otherwise interacting with Homeschool Waypoint, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Do not use the Site if you do not agree to these Terms.

1. About Homeschool Waypoint

Homeschool Waypoint is an online directory intended to help homeschool families discover groups, co-ops, classes, events, educators, service providers, programs, attractions, businesses, and other homeschool-related resources.

Homeschool Waypoint provides directory, discovery, account, listing, and promotional services. Unless we expressly state otherwise, Homeschool Waypoint:

  • Does not own or operate the listed organizations, programs, groups, businesses, services, or events.
  • Is not the employer, agent, partner, representative, or affiliate of a listed provider.
  • Is not a party to transactions, registrations, agreements, or disputes between users and listed providers.
  • Does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, availability, suitability, or accuracy of a listing, provider, service, program, or event.

Users are responsible for evaluating listings and deciding whether a provider, event, program, service, or opportunity is appropriate for their family.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to create an account, submit or claim a listing, purchase a paid plan, or otherwise act on behalf of an organization, group, educator, business, program, or service provider.

By creating an account or submitting information, you represent that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.
  • You are legally permitted to use the Site.
  • You have authority to act on behalf of any listing you submit, claim, purchase, or manage.
  • Your use of the Site will comply with these Terms and applicable law.

The Site is intended primarily for adults, including parents, guardians, educators, group leaders, service providers, organization representatives, and business owners.

Children under 13 may not create accounts or independently submit personal information through the Site.

3. Account Types

Homeschool Waypoint may offer different account types, including Family Accounts and Listing Accounts.

Family Accounts

Family Accounts may be used to browse the directory, save listings and events, and access other family-oriented features that may become available.

Family Accounts may not submit, claim, or manage listings unless the account is converted to or replaced by an eligible Listing Account.

Listing Accounts

Listing Accounts may be used by authorized representatives of organizations, businesses, groups, programs, events, educators, and service providers to:

  • Submit new listings.
  • Claim existing listings.
  • Edit and manage approved listings.
  • Purchase paid listing plans.
  • Manage subscription-related information.
  • Access other listing-management features.

Creating a Listing Account does not guarantee that a submission or claim will be approved.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Using accurate account information.
  • Restricting access to your account and devices.
  • All activity performed through your account.
  • Promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

You may not:

  • Share an account in a manner that creates unauthorized access.
  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Create an account using false or misleading information.
  • Use another person’s account without permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account or administrative area.

Contact hello@homeschoolwaypoint.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Directory Listings

Listings may be submitted by account holders, authorized representatives, community members, or Homeschool Waypoint using publicly available information.

A listing may include:

  • Names and descriptions.
  • Categories.
  • Addresses and service areas.
  • Contact information.
  • Websites and social media links.
  • Hours, schedules, and event dates.
  • Pricing or registration information.
  • Photographs, logos, and other media.
  • Other information relevant to the directory.

Homeschool Waypoint may review, edit, format, categorize, approve, reject, suspend, expire, or remove a listing at its discretion.

Publication of a listing does not mean that Homeschool Waypoint endorses, certifies, licenses, recommends, or guarantees the listed provider.

6. Seeded and Unclaimed Listings

Homeschool Waypoint may create initial or “seeded” listings using information that appears to be publicly available.

Seeded listings are intended to help families discover homeschool-related resources and may later be:

  • Claimed by an authorized representative.
  • Updated or corrected.
  • Expanded with additional information.
  • Reclassified.
  • Removed upon a valid request.
  • Removed if the information is inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate.

The presence of an unclaimed listing does not establish a business relationship, endorsement, partnership, or sponsorship between Homeschool Waypoint and the listed party.

To request a correction, claim, or removal, contact hello@homeschoolwaypoint.com and identify the listing involved.

7. Claiming a Listing

You may only claim a listing when you are authorized to represent the listed organization, group, program, educator, service, or business.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your authority, including:

  • An email address associated with the listing.
  • Access to an official website or social media account.
  • Business or organization documentation.
  • Confirmation from another authorized representative.
  • Other reasonable evidence.

Listing claims may be reviewed manually. We may approve, reject, delay, revoke, or request additional information concerning a claim.

Submitting a false or unauthorized claim may result in account suspension, listing removal, or other action.

8. Accuracy of Listings

Listing owners and account holders are responsible for maintaining accurate information.

You agree to promptly update information that changes, including:

  • Contact information.
  • Addresses.
  • Service areas.
  • Hours and schedules.
  • Event dates and times.
  • Pricing.
  • Registration details.
  • Availability.
  • Program status.
  • Website and social media links.

Homeschool Waypoint does not guarantee that every listing is complete, current, or error-free.

Families and other users should independently verify important information directly with the listed provider before registering, paying, attending, traveling, or relying on a listing.

9. Events

Event listings are provided for informational and discovery purposes.

Event dates, times, prices, locations, capacity, eligibility, and registration requirements may change without notice.

Homeschool Waypoint is not responsible for:

  • Event cancellation or postponement.
  • Changes in location, schedule, price, or availability.
  • Registration issues.
  • Travel expenses.
  • Injuries, losses, disputes, or incidents associated with an event.
  • Conduct by event organizers, venues, attendees, vendors, or third parties.

Users should confirm event details directly with the organizer before attending or making a purchase.

10. Provider and Family Safety

Homeschool Waypoint does not routinely conduct background checks, inspect facilities, verify insurance coverage, confirm professional credentials, or monitor interactions between families and listed providers unless we expressly state otherwise.

A published listing does not confirm that a person or organization:

  • Has passed a background check.
  • Holds a particular license or certification.
  • Maintains insurance.
  • Meets educational or safety standards.
  • Is suitable for a particular child or family.
  • Is free from complaints, disputes, or disciplinary history.

Parents and guardians are responsible for conducting their own research and exercising appropriate supervision and judgment.

Users should independently evaluate safety practices, credentials, insurance, policies, supervision, facilities, and suitability before participating in an activity or hiring a provider.

11. Listing Plans

Homeschool Waypoint may offer free and paid listing packages, including packages such as:

  • Community Listing.
  • Independent Educator.
  • Professional.
  • Featured.

The features, limitations, eligibility requirements, pricing, image limits, placement, promotional benefits, and availability of each plan will be described on the Site or during checkout.

We may add, remove, rename, or modify listing plans and features. Changes affecting an existing paid subscription will be communicated when required or reasonably appropriate.

Paid placement or a Featured plan does not constitute an endorsement, certification, or guarantee by Homeschool Waypoint.

12. Recurring Subscriptions

Paid monthly listing plans renew automatically each month until canceled.

By purchasing a recurring plan, you authorize Homeschool Waypoint and its payment processor to charge the selected payment method:

  • At the time of purchase.
  • Each month thereafter.
  • Until the subscription is canceled or otherwise terminated.

The applicable price and billing frequency will be displayed before purchase.

To avoid the next recurring charge, cancellation must be submitted before the next renewal is processed.

You may request cancellation by:

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, the listing may retain its paid features through the end of the already-paid billing period and may then be downgraded, restricted, expired, or returned to an eligible free plan.

Deleting an account or removing a listing does not necessarily cancel an active subscription. The subscription must be canceled separately.

13. Pricing Changes

Prices, promotional offers, and founding rates may change.

A price change may apply to:

  • New customers.
  • New subscriptions.
  • Plan upgrades or changes.
  • Future renewals when notice has been provided as required.

The price displayed and accepted during checkout governs the initial purchase.

If we change the recurring price of an active subscription, we will provide notice before charging the changed amount when required by law or our payment system.

Continuing a subscription after a disclosed price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

14. Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Stripe and the Site’s GetPaid payment system.

You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize the payment processor to collect the applicable charges.

Homeschool Waypoint may receive information concerning:

  • Payment status.
  • Subscription status.
  • Card brand and limited card details.
  • Invoices.
  • Refunds.
  • Payment failures.
  • Disputes and chargebacks.
  • Fraud-prevention results.

We do not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on our own servers.

Your use of payment services may also be governed by the payment processor’s terms and privacy practices.

15. Failed Payments

If a recurring payment fails, we or our payment provider may:

  • Attempt the charge again.
  • Ask you to update the payment method.
  • Send payment-failure notices.
  • Suspend paid features.
  • Downgrade the listing.
  • Expire or remove the listing.
  • Cancel the subscription.

You remain responsible for charges validly incurred before cancellation or termination.

16. Refunds

Monthly listing fees are generally non-refundable once charged, except:

  • When required by law.
  • In the case of a confirmed duplicate or incorrect charge.
  • When Homeschool Waypoint expressly approves a refund.
  • When another refund right is specifically stated during checkout.

Canceling a subscription generally prevents future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.

We do not guarantee refunds for:

  • Unused time.
  • Changes of mind.
  • Lack of listing views, contacts, leads, registrations, or sales.
  • Failure to use available listing features.
  • Removal or suspension caused by a violation of these Terms.

Refund requests may be sent to hello@homeschoolwaypoint.com.

17. Taxes

Displayed prices may not include taxes that are required by law.

You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, assessments, or government charges associated with your purchase, except taxes based on Homeschool Waypoint’s net income.

18. No Guaranteed Results

Homeschool Waypoint does not guarantee:

  • A particular number of views.
  • Search-engine rankings.
  • Featured placement in every search.
  • Contacts or inquiries.
  • Registrations.
  • Customers or clients.
  • Revenue.
  • Attendance.
  • Business growth.
  • Educational outcomes.
  • Continued availability of a particular feature.

Directory visibility may vary based on location, category, search filters, user activity, listing completeness, plan level, technical factors, and other considerations.

19. User Content

“User Content” includes text, descriptions, photographs, logos, graphics, links, event details, listing information, messages, and other material submitted through the Site.

You retain ownership of any rights you have in your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant Homeschool Waypoint a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Host and store it.
  • Reproduce and display it.
  • Format, resize, crop, compress, or technically modify it.
  • Publish it as part of a listing or event.
  • Distribute it through the Site.
  • Use reasonable portions to promote the relevant listing, event, directory, or Homeschool Waypoint service.
  • Maintain temporary backup, archival, and cached copies.

This license exists so that we can operate, display, maintain, and promote the directory.

You represent that:

  • You own the User Content or have permission to use it.
  • Its submission does not violate another person’s rights.
  • It is accurate and not misleading.
  • Any people shown or identified have been included with appropriate permission.

You also may not:

  • Scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically extract Site data without written permission.
  • Use automated systems to create accounts or submit listings without authorization.
  • Attempt to bypass access controls.
  • Reverse engineer or interfere with Site software.
  • Use the Site to send spam or fraudulent communications.
  • Resell access to the Site without permission.

21. Moderation and Removal

Homeschool Waypoint may investigate, edit, restrict, reject, suspend, unpublish, or remove accounts, listings, events, or User Content when we reasonably believe that:

  • These Terms have been violated.
  • Information is inaccurate or misleading.
  • A listing is no longer active.
  • A claim is unauthorized.
  • Content creates a legal, safety, privacy, or security concern.
  • Payment is overdue or unsuccessful.
  • Removal is required by law.
  • Removal is reasonably necessary to protect the Site or its users.

We are not obligated to monitor all content before publication and cannot guarantee that all inappropriate or inaccurate content will be identified immediately.

22. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, design, branding, logos, graphics, layout, code, features, and other materials are owned by Homeschool Waypoint or used with permission.

The names Homeschool Waypoint, related logos, and associated branding may not be copied, reproduced, altered, or used in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without written permission.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Homeschool Waypoint intellectual property to you.

You may use the Site for personal, family, internal organizational, or legitimate listing-management purposes. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit substantial portions of the directory without written permission.

  • Confirmation that you are the rights owner or authorized to act for the owner.

We may remove or restrict disputed material while reviewing a complaint.

Knowingly submitting a false or misleading complaint may result in liability or account action.

24. Third-Party Websites and Transactions

The Site may link to third-party websites, social media pages, registration platforms, stores, payment systems, maps, forms, or other services.

Homeschool Waypoint does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their:

  • Content.
  • Accuracy.
  • Security.
  • Privacy practices.
  • Terms.
  • Products.
  • Services.
  • Payments.

  • Conduct.

Any transaction or agreement between a user and a listed provider is solely between those parties.

Review third-party terms and policies before providing information or completing a transaction.

The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

27. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Site at any time.

  • Fraud or suspected fraud.
  • An unauthorized listing claim.
  • Nonpayment.
  • Security concerns.
  • Harmful conduct.
  • Legal requirements.
  • Repeated complaints.
  • Misuse of the directory.

Termination does not eliminate obligations or charges that arose before termination.

Provisions that should reasonably continue after termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions—will remain in effect.

28. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Homeschool Waypoint does not warrant that:

  • Use of the Site will produce a particular result.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or replace any part of the Site.

We may perform maintenance, install updates, change features, revise listing categories, modify account functionality, or temporarily limit access.

We are not liable for temporary outages, maintenance periods, software failures, hosting interruptions, payment-provider outages, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

32. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when:

  • Site features change.
  • Listing plans change.
  • Business practices change.

Send a written description of the dispute to:

hello@homeschoolwaypoint.com

Include:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • The account or listing involved.
  • A description of the issue.
  • The resolution you are requesting.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from requesting urgent court relief when reasonably necessary.

35. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

The unenforceable provision will be interpreted or modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where permitted.

36. No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

Homeschool Waypoint may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
